Badgers have solid depth at RB

September 24, 2012 By Bill Scott

If the Wisconsin Badgers have to play their Big Ten opener at Nebraska this

Montee Ball

week without Montee Ball, there’s plenty of help at running back in Madison.

Ball rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown on 9 carries before he suffered a concussion.  Melvin Gordon came on to rush for 112 yards and a touchdown on 8 carries and James White rushed for 65 yards on 15 carries.

If Ball can’t play this Saturday at Nebraska, the Badgers will need more solid play from Gordon and White.  The Cornhuskers are 11th in the Big Ten in rush defense, allowing 177.0 yards per game.

AUDIO: Bret Bielema says the attitude is good, we’ll see where that takes them this week :15
