Emergency management director resigns

September 19, 2012 By WRN Contributor

Shawano County’s emergency management director has resigned amid allegations that he improperly used county computers assigned to him.

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Steven Haskell was booked into the jail over the weekend.

There is an ongoing investigation with the state’s Department of Criminal Investigation, but neither the sheriff’s department nor DCI would comment on that.

Haskell has worked as the county’s emergency management director for about seven years. So far, no charges have been filed against him.
