Peralta wins Major League starting debut

Rickie Weeks homered twice and drove in four runs to help Wily Peralta win

his first Major League start and lead the surging Milwaukee Brewers to a 8-5 win over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night.

Corey Hart also homered and drove in four runs for the Brewers, which has won 13 of the last 16 games to climb to within 6 1/2 games of St. Louis for the second National League wildcard spot. 

Peralta worked six innings and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits.  He was called up from the minors on Tuesday to take the roster spot of Mark Rogers, who was shut down because he reached his innings limit.  Peralta was 7-11 with a 4.66 ERA at Triple-A Nashville.
