Badger women’s hockey in a drought

The Wisconsin Badger women’s hockey team is now scoreless in the last three games, falling to Bemidji State 1-0 in he inaugural night of the new LaBahn Arena on Friday night in Madison.

The game was scoreless until the 3rd period when the Beavers’ Kristin Huber scored he only goal of the game about 5-minutes into the period.

Wisconsin wasn’t able to penetrate the Bemidji defense, which blocked 29 shots, and goaltender Abby Ryplanski made 27 saves.  The Badgers outshot the Beavers 27-23.

Wisconsin will host Bemidji State for game two of the series this afternoon at 2pm at LaBahn Arena.
