The Milwaukee Brewers had won 24 of 30 games to get themselves right in the
thick of the National League Wildcard race before dropping 6 of their last 9 and seeing their post-season hopes come to an end.
The Brewers were officially eliminated with Sunday’s 7-0 loss to the Houston Astros at Miller Park.

Even had the Brewers won yesterday, they still would have been eliminated with the Cardinals 10-4 win over Washington on Sunday.
The Brewers were 54-66 back on August 20th, 12 1/2 games out of the wild-card race. They beat the Cubs that night and went on a 24-6 run.
The closest they got was within 1 1/2 games of the Cardinals for the second National League wildcard spot.
