Cobb emerges as new Packers weapon

October 21, 2012 By admin

Randall Cobb practicing

Green Bay Packer Randall Cobb has been described by Aaron Rodgers as “a little bit of Greg Jennings” and also Ted Thompson’s best draft pick ever.

In 2012, Cobb has lined up as a wide receiver, punt returner, kickoff returner, and running back.  He certainly has shown that he can do it all at the professional level.

Rodgers has nothing but positive things to say about Cobb, including a comparison between Cobb and Greg Jennings.

Cobb has already surpassed his number of receptions from 2011, and is only 30 yards away from breaking last season’s receiving total of 375 yards.

With over 100 yards receiving and over 100 yards on special teams against the Houston Texans, Cobb has cemented his place in the Packers offense and special teams.  Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says Cobb isn’t done yet either.

Confidence is a big part of being a successful NFL receiver and it’s growing leaps and bounds for Cobb.

Cobb and the Packers will kick things off at noon today in St. Louis against the Rams.
