Knights win season opener

Defending NCAA Division 3 hockey champion St. Norbert College won it’s 13th

St. Norbert Hockey

straight season opener, shutting out Concordia College 4-0 on Tuesday night in De Pere.

It’s the 10th straight win overall for the Knights, dating back to last season.

The Knights got goals from Erik Cooper (1st collegiate goal), Kyle Stroh, Sam Dougherty and Carl Ekstrom.

David Jacobson made 17 saves in goal to earn his 5th career shutout.

St. Norbert faces UW-Stevens Point in a home-and-home series this weekend.
