Marquette picked to finish 7th in Big East poll

The Marquette men’s basketball team was picked to finish 7th in the annual
Big East Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

The Golden Eagles are coming off of their second straight NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.  They finished 27-8 overall, 2nd place in the Big East (14-4) last season, after being picked to finish 6th. 

The Golden Eagles return three starters from last season, Vander Blue, Junior Cadougan and Todd Mayo.

Louisville is the unanimous choice to win the Big East title.  Syracuse was picked second, followed by Notre Dame, Cincinnati and Georgetown.
