Badgers start slow, come on strong in exhibition win

The Wisconsin Badgers fell behind UW-Oshkosh 7-0 and 12-6 before going on a

29-2 run and rolling to a 96-44 win over the Titans in an exhibition at the Kohl Center. 

Senior forward Ryan Evans and redshirt freshman guard George Marshall each scored 7 points during the run.  Evans finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.  Marshall had 11 points, 1 assist and 1 turnover. 

Senior forward Jared Berggren had 16 points to lead five Badgers in double figures.  Sophomore forward Frank Kaminsky and junior guard Ben Brust added 12 points each as the Badgers shot 57% from the field.

Freshman Sam Dekker contributed 5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a block, but coach Bo Ryan wasn’t happy with Dekker’s intensity.

Junior guard Dylan Wurtz (Kimberly, WI) scored 15 points to lead the Titans.

The Badgers open the regular season Sunday against Southeastern Louisiana.
