Hockey Badgers fall to Gophers

Tom Serratore’s 3rd period goal broke a 1-1 tie and the Minnesota Golden Gophers added a late empty net goal to pull out a 3-1 win over the Wisconsin Badgers in WCHA action in Minneapolis.

Ryan Little scored a short-handed goal for the Badgers (1-5-2, 1-3-2 WCHA) late in the first period to give the Badgers a 1-0 lead.

Nick Bjugstad tied the game midway through the second period for the Gophers (7-2-2, 4-2-2) who came into the game ranked 3rd in the country.
