Marquette’s Mayo is ineligible

Marquette Golden Eagles sophomore guard Todd Mayo has been declared academically ineligible.  He’s unable to practice or play indefinitely.

Mayo played in 35 games as a freshman for the Golden Eagles last season, averaging 7.9 points and 2.7 rebounds. 

Marquette open’s the season Friday against 4th ranked Ohio State in the Carrier Classic at Charleston, South Carolina.
