Burlington Club calling all ‘liars’

December 16, 2012 By WRN Contributor

The deadline is approaching to enter the annual Burlington Liar’s Club Contest, with winners to be announced after Christmas. Entries may submitted via e-mail, to championship [email protected], or go to burlingtonliars club.com, and fill out the submission form.

Gary Gitzlaff, of Kenosha, won last year with his story of the Groundhog’s Day snowstorm, and his car having antique license plates by the time he’d dug it out. Submissions for the contest come from around the nation, and from other parts of the world. Politicians are considered professionals, and thus not allowed to compete for the annual 15-minutes of fame, and the coveted certificate as “Champion Liar.”
