Man to be sentenced for sexting preteen

December 14, 2012 By WRN Contributor

A Wausau man will be sentenced today after being convicted of sending sexually explicit text messages to an underaged girl. William Hebbe, 32, reached a plea deal in October. He’s been found guilty of exchanging sexual messages on Facebook with a 12-year-old. He asked her about her underwear and said he wanted to touch her all over.

Investigators seized two computers and several cell phones, and examined over 1,400 pages of internet chat room transcripts. They say Hebbe used multiple e-mail accounts and on-line names.

Marathon County Judge Michael Moran will determine his punishment at 1:30 p.m. This may not be the end of William Hebbe’s problems.

Investigators are looking into similar offenses that may have occurred with other underage girls.
