The UW-Green Bay Phoenix men’s basketball team dominated the South Dakota Coyotes 72-55 Saturday night.
Green Bay, who just Wednesday upset Marquette 49-47, established a strong lead through a huge 23-7 run over both halves.
Going into halftime Green Bay led by ten, 35-25.
The Phoenix were offensively strong around the basket, as 38 of their 72 points came from inside the paint.
Three Phoenix players hit double-digits in scoring, with Alec Brown scoring 19, Keifer Sykes 17, and Sultan Muhammad scoring 10 points.
Alec Brown also led the team in rebounds with eight while teammate Greg Mays adding another seven boards.
South Dakota was led in scoring by Trevor Gruis, who had 18 points.
UW-Green Bay is in action Sunday, December 30 when they take on Illinois-Springfield.
