Brown nets 21 in Green Bay win

January 13, 2013 By Bill Scott

Green Bay big man Alec Brown poured in 21 points, pulled down 8 rebounds and blocked 4 shots to lead the Phoenix to a 53-47 win over Illinois-Chicago at the Resch Center on Saturday.

After going 10 for 19 at the free throw line for much of the contest, the Phoenix his their last 7 in-a-row in the final minutes to hold off the Flames, who saw their Horizon League road losing streak reach 29 games.

Green Bay captured its fifth straight home game overall and 9th straight in Green Bay against Illinois-Chicago.

Up next for the Phoenix, a home game Thursday night against Youngstown State at the Resch Center.
