Horizon League update

In men’s Horizon League basketball action on Wednesday night, Valparaiso won its 6th straight game, knocking off the Green Bay Phoenix 73-61.

The Crusaders took over sole possession of 1st place in the Horizon League after Wright State lost.

Green Bay got 18 points from Alec Brown and 15 from Keifer Sykes, falling to 10-10 and 4-3 in league play.

UIC 60, Milwaukee 50

In Chicago, the Milwaukee Panthers fell to Illinois-Chicago 60-50.  The Flames ended the game on a 19-0 run to come from behind and win.

UIC didn’t allow a point in the last 9:39 of the second half, outscoring the Panthers 35-8 in the second half.

Milwaukee shot just 22% from 3-point range and 32% overall for the game.
