Badgers (women) fall to Illini

February 19, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin Badger women’s basketball team rallied in the second half to pull within 43-40 of Illinois, but the Illini responded with a 13-0 run to put the Badgers away and win 60-53 in Champaign.

Illinois (15-9, 8-4 Big Ten) got 26 points from Karisma Penn and 16 points from Adrienne Godbold, accounting for 42 of the Illini’s 60 points.

Nicole Bauman and Morgan Paige had 14 points each to lead the Badgers.  Wisconsin’s (11-15, 3-10) Jacki Gulczynski was held to just four points in the loss.
