Ball has tough day at combine

Wisconsin running back Montee Ball had a “fast” time in mind when running the 40-

yard dash at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine.  But it didn’t work out that way for Ball, who turned in a 40-time of 4.66 seconds.  His stock took a slight hit Sunday, after Ball finished 19th out of 33 running backs in the 40-yard dash.Ball’s fortunes could turn for the better if he turns in a faster 40-time at Wisconsin’s pro day.

Ball has been projected as a 2nd or 3rd round pick in the upcoming April draft.
