Adams County man jailed in shooting death of girlfriend

March 4, 2013 By WRN Contributor

A 28-year-old Adams man has been arrested in the fatal shotgun shooting of his girlfriend early Saturday morning.

Police say Coleman Dybul told authorities he fired a shotgun he kept near his bed after she startled him while he was sleeping.

Twenty-seven year old Toni Voss was pronounced dead at the scene. Dybul was arrested by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department on suspicion of first-degree reckless homicide. Formal charges could be filed today.

A young child who was in the house when the shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. was unharmed.
