Arrest in blunt force trauma murder

March 21, 2013 By WRN Contributor

A suspect is now in custody in Waushara County in connection with what authorities are calling a murder. Sheriff David Peterson says a 42-year-old rural Wautoma man was taken into custody for questioning earlier this week, and then later arrested on a preliminary charge of first degree intentional homicide.

Waushara County District Attorney Scott Blader has not yet filed a criminal complaint.

Robert Kasun, 50, of rural Wautoma was found dead at the Mt. Morris Hotel on the morning of March 6. Sheriff Peterson says results from an autopsy show Kasun died of blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen. Waushara County authorities are being assisted in the investigation by the state’s division of criminal investigation.
