Badger recruit, Koenig is AP State Player of the Year

Wisconsin recruit Bronson Koenig from La Crosse Aquinas, is the A.P. Boys basketball Player of the Year after leading the Blugolds to the WIAA Division 3 State Title last weekend.  Koenig is one of four players that were unanimous choices to the first team.

Aquinas coach Rick Schneider was selected the state’s Coach of the Year.

First Team

Bronson Koenig – Sr. La Crosse Aquinas *
Luke Fischer – Sr. Germantown *
Duane Wilson – Sr. Dominican *
Kevon Looney – Jr. Milwaukee Hamilton *
Matt Thomas – Sr. Onalaska

* unanimous

Second Team

Turner Botz – Sr. Little Chute
Diamond Stone – So. Dominican
Nick Fuller – Sr. Sun Prairie
Henry Ellenson – So. Rice Lake
Jamaar McKay – Sr. Milwaukee Washington

Third Team

Kenneth Lowe – Sr. Little Chute
Austin Malone-Mitchell – Sr. Milwaukee King
Cam Ward – Jr. Marshall
Austin Hawkins – Sr. Auburndale
Deonte Burton – Sr. Milwaukee Vincent

Fourth Team

Cody Wichmann – Sr. Pulaski
Brett Prahl – Sr. East Troy
Jordan Shea – Jr. Lodi
Toby Hegner – Sr. Berlin
Ben Best – Sr. Drummond
