Badgers fall 5-spots in both Top-25 polls

March 4, 2013 By Bill Scott

One day after a 13-point home loss on senior day to unranked Purdue, the Badgers fell
5-spots in both top 25 polls.

Wisconsin fell from 17 to 22 in the Associated Press Top 25 and from 16 to 21 in the USA Today Coaches poll.

The Badgers (20-9, 11-5) faces Michigan State (22-7, 11-5) on Thursday in East Lansing, then closes out the regular season at Penn State on Sunday.

Michigan State fell only from 9th to 10 in the AP Poll and from 10th to 12th in the coaches poll, despite losing 3-straight games.

Marquette (21-7) moved from 22 to 15 in the AP poll and 22 to 17 in the coaches poll after wins over Syracuse and Notre Dame last week.
