Bond set in Adams County shooting

March 5, 2013 By WRN Contributor

An Adams man accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend is being held on a $250,000 cash bond.

28-year-old Coleman E. Dybul appeared before an Adams County judge Monday, after he was arrested on suspicion of first degree reckless homicide. The district attorney had not filed charges as of late Monday.

Dybul called the Sheriff’s Department early Saturday morning, telling dispatchers that he shot 27-year-old Toni Voss of Adams after she startled him while he was sleeping. Police say Dybul used a shotgun he kept next to his bed. The shooting occurred at about 1:40 a.m. on Saturday.

State Patrol officials and the State Crime Lab are assisting with the investigation.
