Bucks hold of late rally from Kings

March 11, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Bucks built a 15-point fourth quarter lead and looked as if they would run away with an easy win.  That’s when the Kings fought back and almost pulled out a win in Sacramento.  Instead, the Bucks held on for a 115-113 victory, their 2nd straight win out west and their 6th win overall in the last 7 games.

Monta Ellis scored 29 points and dished out 9 assists, while Brandon Jennings and Mike Dunleavy added 16 points each.

The Bucks led 106-91 after Dunleavy buried a three with 3:48 remaining.  That’s when the King started their run.

Kings center DeMarcus Cousins was ejected for a flagrant-2 foul on Dunleavy in the third quarter.  That hurt the Kings, who had gotten 24 points and 10 rebounds prior to his ejection.

The Bucks return to Milwaukee to host the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night at the Bradley Center.
