Germantown’s Fischer is Mr. Basketball

March 10, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association named Germantown’s Luke Fischer as its Mr. Basketball after leading his school to a 28-0 record and its second straight WIAA Division 1 title.

Fischer had 17 points and 7 rebounds in a 57-28 win over Mukwonago in the championship game Saturday.  The Indiana recruit finished the season averaging 21.3 points and 9.5 rebounds.

Fischer beat out a class that included Wisconsin recruit Bronson Koenig of La Crosse Aquinas, Marquette recruit Duane Wilson of Domincan, Iowa State recruit Matt Thomas of Onalaska and Nebraska recruit Nick Fuller of Sun Prairie.
