ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Green Bay Packers’ free agent wide receiver
Greg Jennings will pay a visit to Minnesota Vikings headquarters today.
Jennings has stood by and watched as Mike Wallace, Danny Amendola and Wes Welker have all landed lucrative deals. That also means Jennings original asking price of $12-million a year has dropped considerably.
The Vikings wide receiver position is in transition after hey traded disgruntled Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks and released Michael Jenkins.
The Vikings ranked 31st in passing last year under Ponder and 24th in the NFL in passer rating (81.2). He passed for 2,935 yards and 18 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.
The Packers would like to have Jennings back, but at their price. We’ll see if gets out of Minnesota with a deal today, or if the Packers will still remain in the picture.
