March 28, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers will get their first look their recent 3-year $33-million investment as Kyle Lohse gets the start today against the Colorado Rockies.  It’s the final Cactus League game of Milwaukee’s exhibition schedule.

It is not clear on when exactly Lohse will be ready to go at full strength.  He had been pitching simulated games while he was a free agent to stay on top of things.  Lohse expressed a hope to pitch in Milwaukee’s second regular season series, next weekend again Arizona.  Manager Ron Roenicke and Pitching Coach Rick Kranitz are taking a more wait and see approach…

Wednesday, the Brewers notched a 9-1 win over the Kansas City Royals.  Nori Aoki had 3-hits to lead the Brewers.  After today’s game, Milwaukee will head to Miller Park for exhibition games with the Chicago White Sox Friday and Saturday.  Opening Day is Monday as the Brewers host the Colorado Rockies.
