Marquette tips off today against Davidson

March 21, 2013 By Bill Scott

Marquette plays its NCAA Tournament opener against Davidson in Lexington, Kentucky later this afternoon (2:10pm).

Marquette has won 4 of their last 5, while Davidson enters having won 17-straight entering today’s game.

Marquette will need to defend the 3-point line defensively and offensively, take the ball to the basket against the much smaller Wildcats.  The Golden Eagles rank 17th in the country in 2-point field goal (53%) accuracy and should have a decided advantage inside against Davidson.
