New organizer for Rhythm and Booms

March 21, 2013 By WRN Contributor

After 20 years of putting on the big 4th of July fireworks show at Warner Park in Madison, Terry Kelly is stepping aside. And the event he’s overseen will be getting smaller.

Rhythm and Booms will now be organized by Madison Festivals Incorporated. They run other events including the Taste of Madison and the Madison Marathon. This change will mean changes for the annual event. You will no longer see music stages or beer tents.

It is also downsizing from a regional attraction to a neighborhood event.
