Packers fan waits 37 years for season tickets

March 4, 2013 By WRN Contributor

Scratch Brad Sauve’s name of the most renowned list in sports. After 37 years of waiting, he’s now a Packers season ticket holder. Sauve was just 20-years-old back in August of 1976 when he put his name down for the hottest ticket in Wisconsin sports.

The list for season tickets has over 105,000 names on it. Sauve says it got to a point where he didn’t think he was going to make it, but “all of a sudden I started climbing up the list and there I was.”

Suave says he never forgot and watched his number move up through the years of Packers triumph and losing seasons. Last year, he was number 15, and knew it was getting close.

The Shell Lake man lives four hours away, but couldn’t be happier with the seats. They are at Section 128, Row 41. He says “that’s a pretty good vantage point for a game.”
