Blue leaving Marquette early for the NBA

Junior guard Vander Blue said today that he’s forgoing his final year of college basketball eligibility at Marquette and will enter the NBA draft.

The 6’4 Blue plans to sign with an agent.

The Madison, Wis. native earned All-Big East Second Team honors in the process.  He finished the season ranked 14th in the Big East Conference in scoring (14.8 ppg) and also topped the roster in that category.  Blue shot 45% from the field and 75% from the free throw line.

Blue started 80 games during his career at Marquette.  He finished with 982 points.
