Packers sign blocking tight end

April 8, 2013 By Bill Scott

After losing Tom Crabtree to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency, the Green Bay Packers have found his replacement, signing Matthew Mulligan to a 1-year deal over the weekend.

Mulligan was released by the St. Louis Rams late last month.  At 6’4, 260 lbs, Mulligan is known more for his run blocking and will give the Packers some power at the point of attack.

Last season, Mulligan had 8 receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown with the Rams.
