The Vikings add a pair on their defense

April 25, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Minnesota Vikings added to their defense with a couple of big name players.  With the 23rd pick in the 1st round, the Vikings took Florida DT Sharrif Floyd.  Floyd appeared in numerous mock drafts in the top 10, even the top 5 but fell to the Vikings.

With their second pick in the 1st round, #25 overall, the Vikings added Florida State CB Xavier Rhodes.  Like Chicago on the offensive line, the Vikings have been looking for quality defensive backs.

Minnesota’s defense had fallen back the last few seasons but it appears they were able to add some quality depth.  The Packers are on the clock.
