Badger women’s golf at NCAA’s

May 24, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin Badger women’s golf team had their best round of the 72-hold NCAA tournament, shooting an 11-over-par 297 in 3rd round action in Athens, Georgia.  Wisconsin is 43-over par, tied for 24th place at the NCAA women’s golf championships.

No. 1 USC is running away with the team title.  They’re at 19-under par on the par 72 hole course.  The Trojans shot a 12-under 276 total yesterday alone.

No. 3 Duke, now in second place, is the only other team under par at -2 (862).

This is just the second trip to the national championship for the Badger program and the first since 2003 when the team finished 24th with a 4-round total of 1,291.

The final round of the event is today.
