Brewers open series against Rangers tonight

The Milwaukee Brewers face the team with the best ERA in the majors, the Texas

Rangers.  The Rangers enter tonight’s game with a 3.02 team ERA.

Wily Peralta (2-2, 6.00) faces Rangers starter Justin Grimm (2-1, 2.28) in the pitching matchup.

The Brewers had the day off yesterday, after being swept over the weekend by the St. Louis Cardinals.  The Brewers will be trying to end a 5-game losing streak.

The Rangers were supposed to have yesterday off, but they played a makeup game in Chicago against the Cubs and lost 9-2.

Carlos Gomez

Center fielder Carlos Gomez enters tonight’s game riding a career high 12-game hitting streak.  During that stretch, Gomez is hitting .467 with four home runs and 7 rbi’s.  His .373 overall average tops the National League.
