K-Rod is back with the Brewers

May 16, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers are bringing back veteran reliever Francisco Rodriguez, after a month-long tryout in the minors.

The Brewers made room on the 40-man roster by moving Taylor Green from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.  They then sent catcher-first baseman Blake Lalli to Nashville.

Rodriguez made back-to-back appearances for AAA Nashville on Monday and Tuesday.  He walked 1 and struck out 3 in his final outing.

Rodriguez appeared in 78 games for the Brewers last season, finishing 2-7 with a 4.38 ERA.  He’s scheduled to make $2-million for the season.
