The UW-Stevens Point Pointers advanced to the NCAA Division 3 College Baseball
World Series at Fox Cities Stadium. It’s te 5th appearance in the finals for the Pointers and their 1st since 2010.
Stevens Point advanced by winning the Whitewater Regional. The Pointers beat Case Western 1-0 in the title game on Saturday.
The Pointers will take on Manchester University at 4:30pm on Friday. Manchester is making its second trip to Appleton. Manchester’s first appearance came in 2004.
Three former National Champions highlight the field. The University of Southern Maine, which won National Titles in 1991 and 1997 is making its 7th trip to the finals and its first since back-to-back appearances since 2000-01.
Kean University (N.J.), is making its sixth appearance in the finals and third consecutive trip to Appleton. The Cougars have made all of those appearances in the last seven years, starting with 2007, the year Kean won its National title.
The third former champion in the field is Ithaca College (NY), which won titles in 1980 and 1988. This is Ithaca’s 12th trip to the finals but its first since 1994.

7:45pm – Kean University (38-11) vs. Webster University (36-10)
