Argyle fire victim facing charges

June 14, 2013 By WRN Contributor

The victim of a horrific murder-arson case in Argyle last fall is now in trouble with the law herself. Iowa County investigators said Sharon Wand has been repeatedly stealing items from residents’ rooms at a rehabilitation center, where she’s been undergoing extensive treatment following severe burns she received in the September fire.

Her three sons were killed and she lost the baby she was carrying. Her estranged husband and his brother have since been convicted of starting the fire, with hopes of killing the family for insurance money.

Wand had been warned about her stealing, but was caught her once again with jewelry, a stuffed animal and a ceramic figurine. She’s charged with theft and criminal trespassing, which are misdemeanors.
