Busy time for the housing market

June 1, 2013 By WRN Contributor

It’s a peak period for home sales in the state, and the Wisconsin Realtors Association is hoping strong growth over the past two years will continue through the summer months.

Well over half the annual sales in the state will happen from now through September, when warmer weather gets buyers out and gives owners a chance to showcase their properties. WRA President Mike Theo says well over half the annual sales in the state will happen from now through September.

This also is a peak period since people are more apt to make a housing and location change at the end of the school year.

Statewide sales have increased for 22 consecutive months and were up more than nine-percent last month, trends Theo is optimistic will continue.
