Estrada struggles in rehab start

June 24, 2013 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Marco Estrada has taken next step in his recovery from a hamstring injury.  It wasn’t a good step, though.

Estrada took the mound on a rehab assignment for the Brewers Class-A Affiliate Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in the Midwest League Sunday.  It wasn’t a long outing for Estrada as he was tagged for 6-runs on 8-hits while tossing just 2 2/3 innings in a 13-9 loss for the Rattlers.

The Brewers placed Estrada on the DL back on June 5th when he injured his hamstring.  On the year, Estrada is 4-4 with a 5.32 ERA in Milwaukee.  A time-table is not clear to when Estrada will rejoin the Brewers.
