Wisconsin women’s head hockey coach Mark Johnson will join Philadelphia Flyers
assistant Joe Mullen as head coaches for the second annual CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game Sept. 26 in Pittsburgh, PA.
The event, which will feature 40 of the top American-born prospects eligible for the 2014 National Hockey League Entry Draft, will be held at CONSOL Energy Center, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Johnson has established Wisconsin’s rank among the elite in college women’s hockey. Under his direction, Wisconsin has compiled four NCAA titles, four WCHA playoff titles and four WCHA regular-season crowns. Johnson and the Badgers were the first team ever to land in the NCAA championship game in four consecutive seasons, winning the title three times (2006, 2007, 2009). He leads all active D-1 women’s college-hockey coaches with a winning percentage of .819, with an impressive record of 302-56-28.
