star Suzy Favor Hamilton.  Her name was removed by the Big Ten Conference after she acknowledged working as a prostitute.

Favor competed in the Olympics in 1992, 1996 and 2000.  The 44-year old Favor Hamilton was the Big Ten’s female athlete of the year three straight times beginning in 1988.  She won seven U.S. national titles, her last coming in 1999.

Minnesota hockey player Amanda Kessel was named the winner of the Big Ten award last week.
