Another Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher has been effected by injury after Wily Peralta left last night’s 4-0 victory over Washington. Peralta was battling Stephen Strasburg in a scoreless game until his hamstring tightened up 1-out in to the 6th inning. Peralta had to leave the game although manager Ron Roenicke said there doesn’t appear to be any kind of pull. The Brewers say Peralta is listed as day-to-day.
Peralta’s outing was his best this season, allowing three hits while walking two and striking out five.

Strasburg blanked the Brewers through 7-innings before giving way to the bullpen. That’s when the Brewers would strike, scoring all 4-runs off of Nationals reliever Drew Storen. Juan Francisco drove in the winning runs with his 2-run double in the 8th.
It ended the Brewers 6-game slide and evened the series at a game apiece.
Peralta is the third Brewers pitcher this season to have to leave a game with hamstring issues, joining Jim Henderson and Marco Estrada.
Kyle Lohse (3-6, 3.63) pitches game three of the series for the Brewers tonight. Ross Detwiler (2-6, 2.41) goes for the Nationals.
