Seymour’s Cohen commits to Marquette

Seymour’s 6’6 senior shooting guard Sandy Cohen gave Marquette a verbal commitment for the Golden Eagles’ 2014 men’s basketball recruiting class.

Cohen was recruited by more than 20 major programs around the country, including Gonzaga, La Salle, Memphis, Minnesota and Creighton.  In-state schools Green Bay and Milwaukee were also in the mix.

Cohen averaged 16.6 points and 7.2 rebounds during his junior year at Seymour last season.  He made his decision following his AAU season with the Playground Elite team on Saturday in Orlando, Florida.  His announcement came via Twitter.
