Packers get ready for family night

After a week of morning practices, the Green Bay Packers will flip on the lights at Ray Nitschke Field tonight.

The idea is to help get the team ready for Saturday night’s Family Night Scrimmage.  The team was given Thursday afternoon off and will have meetings Friday morning and afternoon leading up to the start of practice.  Head Coach Mike McCarthy explains the philosophy…

Looking ahead to family night, on thing that will be a apart of the scrimmage that hasn’t been around for a while is a kicking contest.  For the first time in a few years, the Packers brought in a second leg to challenge Mason Crosby.  Giorgio Tevvechio was brought into camp this year after Crosby had the worse kicking year of his career.  McCarthy on what he as seen from the kickers so far…

Friday’s practice is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start time with Family Night slated to start Saturday at 6:30 pm.
