Fond du Lac shooting suspect had several guns

October 10, 2013 By WRN Contributor

Fond du Lac Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein said it’s fortunate no one was hurt when a 19-year-old Fond du Lac man fired off shots in the city and village of North Fond du Lac Wednesday night. The man was arrested during a high-risk traffic stop in North Fond du Lac. Klein said the man used a handgun to fire off several rounds when a fight broke out at a soccer game on Glenwood Drive in the city. But it wasn’t the only gun he had. He also had an AR-15 assault rifle, which he fired into the air at a residence on Florida Avenue in North Fond du Lac. The man had been drinking. Klein said it’s fortunate no one was injured and there was the potential for it to be a very bad situation. The man is facing criminal charges for the two incidents.
