Mustangs headed for Portland

October 3, 2013 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee’s Arena Football League team, the Milwaukee Mustangs, is headed for Portland.

The Mustangs were dormant for the entire 2013 season.  The AFL announced Wednesday that a Portland businessman had purchased a majority interest in the Mustangs and will relocate the team to Portland for the 2014 season.

The Mustangs last played in the 2012 season at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The Mustangs debuted in 1994, then became the Milwaukee Iron before changing back to the Mustangs in 2011.
