The Wisconsin Badger women’s basketball team won their final preseason tune-up, knocking off UW-Stevens Point 80-51 on Thursday night at the Kohl Center.
Stevens Point jumped out early and led 12-5. The Pointers didn’t relinquish the lead until 9:17 of the first half when the Badgers went up 21-19.
From that point, the Badgers closed out the 1st half outscoring the Pointers 22-10 to take a 41-29 halftime lead.
Michala Johnson had 18 points to lead the Badgers, who shot better than 50-percent from the floor for the second straight game (56.5%).
Wisconsin opens the regular season on Sunday when it hosts Drake in non-conference action. Tip time is 2pm at the Kohl Center.
