Child mauled by pit bull in Racine

November 26, 2013 By WRN Contributor

Racine Police say a 7-year old Kenosha boy was mauled by a pit bull. The boy and his cousin were playing, and apparently made a noise that resulted in the dog biting the boy on the right forearm. A news release indicated the attack took flesh of the child’s arm down to the bone. The victim’s mother was also bitten in the process of getting the dog off her son, who is at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Police Sergeant Jessie Metoyer says the dog was not licensed, and not vaccinated, so it remains in quarantine this week, while it’s owner was issued citations.
