Dekker, who averaged 9.6 points per game and earned honorable-mention All-Big Ten accolades a year ago, is one of 10 Big Ten players on the Preseason Top 50 list, the most of any conference.

Dekker is one of four true freshmen to start a game under Bo Ryan.  As Wisconsin’s 6th man last season, Dekker averaged 9.6 points a game and shot 41.8% from 3-point range during Big Ten play.

Dekker scored 16 points and pulled down 7 rebounds in 32 minutes of action during Wisconsin’s season opening win against St. John’s at Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The 38th-annual Wooden Award will honor the men’s and women’s winners, and will include the presentation of the Wooden Award All-American Teams and the Legends of Coaching Award.  It will take place the weekend of April 11-12, 2014 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
